Magnum Jewelers seriously considers the crucial issue of diamond sourcing. We employ very strict measures to ensure that all of our diamond sources are from conflict free mines. Magnum Jewelers specialize in natural diamonds. We adhere to the “Best Practice Principles” that require any treatments applied to a diamond be completely and fully disclosed as well as committing ourselves to offering only conflict free diamonds.

4C’s of Diamonds

Cut: The one part of the diamond that nature does not dictate. A perfectly cut stone will reflect the light inside and allow it to be released outwardly making it seem to be radiated from within.

Carat weight: The standard of measure for diamonds is in carat weight. One carat is equal to 100 points; therefore, a 0.50cts carat diamond can be viewed as a 50 point or ˝ carat diamond stone. However, value does not always rely on carat weight due to the cut and symmetry that produces or limits brilliance.

Clarity: Diamonds that do not have inclusions are considered flawless or internally flawless. These diamonds are usually considered very rare. Diamonds that do have more inclusions tend to have a lower clarity grade and therefore, less rare.

Color: Color grades run from D-Z with the most desirable being closest to colorlessness. D, E and F are considered colorless and more valuable. Fancy colors especially, pinks, blues and yellows are particularly unique and are judged by the intensity of their hue.
